Busy engineering and manufacturing company has an opening for an Assembly Technician. Excellent benefits package!
- Assemble packaging machinery from printed assembly drawings and bills of materials.
- Layout and build control panels from electrical and pneumatic diagrams as well as plumb/hose pneumatic actuators, run peripheral sensor/power wiring and terminate in control panel.
- Verify fit and function of individual parts as well as functionality of assemblies and mechanisms.
- Modify and/or fabricate parts and document changes on manufacturing drawings.
- Following machine power-up, set up Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Programmable Limit Switches (PLS), and adjust Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) timers.
- Associates degree in Automation/Robotics, Packaging, Fluid Power, or equivalent hands-on experience, preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude, ability to read and understand blueprints/manufacturing drawings and at least 1 year of experience working with mechanical assemblies.
- Experience with VFD’s, PLC’s, HMI’s, Servo Drives (Allen-Bradley components) preferred.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools such as hand drills, drill presses, manual mills and lathes.
